Our Research Focus

Creating sustainable synthetic and catalytic methods to activate small molecules is our core focus. Our research aims to innovate in the activation & functionalization of inert C-H, C-C, and C-heteroatom bonds, reducing reliance on stoichiometric metal complexes. We strive to develop new methodologies that produce diverse, relevant molecular architectures. Additionally, we delve into the mechanisms of these reactions to establish a foundation for future applications in chemistry.

Hexafluoroisopropanol mediated cascade di-functionalization of allenamides with 4-hydroxy coumarin was developed. This strategy features a general cascade C – C and C – O bond formation process for accessing novel pyranocoumarins.
